This website was designed and programmed following the guidelines of the WAI, which sets international standards in creating web content accessible to everyone.
This site conforms to the following standards:
This is a subjective statement, some accessibility guidelines can be measured automatically, but others do not. We reviewed the guidelines and considered that met all the pages of this website.
Accessibility Guidelines
Various measures were taken to make the site more accessible, including:
- The logical order of presentation of screen elements
- Text describing images
- Ability to keyboard access to all options
- Semantic XHTML. The H2 tag is used as page title and H3 for sections within the website. For example, on this page, JAWS users can skip to the next section by pressing Alt + Insert + 3
- There is an element on every page of this website that tells us where we are within the site and the road to that place
- This site is done using CSS for layout
- This web site uses only relative font sizes
Links
- The links whose text does not fully describe the destination have title with an explanation.
- Links are written so they make sense out of context. Some browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera) can extract the list of links on the current page and let users navigate from this list. With this in mind the links are not duplicated, and if they are it is because they access the same content.
- There are no javascript pseudo-links. All links can be followed in any browser, even if JavaScript is disabled.
